WELCOME
ABOUT ME

I'm a New Yorker who ventured to Boston to pursue an education in Mechanical Engineering and Design at Northeastern University. As a graduate of the class of 2019, my hope is to be able to use Human Centered and Experience Design with Engineering as a way to help those in need and improve quality of life.
Though I love to learn, I would lose my mind if all I did was engineering. I am also a Competitive Figure Skater and have been one for years. I also managed to fall into the world of Performance Improv Comedy during college and I am so grateful I did. I have been apart of Team Excel Synchronized Skating (2018 National Champions) and No Jokes Improv (2019 College Comedy Fest Finalists) during my college career. (Look us up!) I have met some of my closest friends through these communities.
I love to cook, crack jokes, work with students and ask for probably what would be thought of as an upsetting amount of cheese samples at the grocery store

WORK EXPERIENCE
STEM INSTRUCTOR
LAUNCH MATH AND SCIENCE CENTER, NYC, NY
September 2019 - April 2020
As an instructor at launch, I have the opportunity to lead groups of 3 up to 15 elementary school students in STEM based learning lessons. I teach the class a simplified conceptual explanation of one of the wide variety of science topics taught in the classroom. I have been able to lead classes in basic wiring, python coding, and engineering. I also lead step by step home made science projects designed by Launch for each student to create and built for hands - on learning. (Such examples include wiring motors to spin a color disk or wiring a buzzer to make a “doorbell”)
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER CO-OP
SHARKNINJA, NEEDHAM, MA
July- December 2018
During my time at SharkNinja, I worked as a Product Engineer Co-op on the Shark team creating high end Vacuums. A large portion of my job included editing and creating CAD models using SolidWorks. Many of these CAD models were used to 3D print, then prototyped as a way to do functionality and user interaction testing with the rest of the team. I spent a lot of time in the Model shop building, basic wiring, hacking and rapid prototyping different designs. As a Product Engineer I not only communicated with the team but also relayed with the team in China about product design process. Aside from this I was able to do many side projects such as fluid dynamic (pressure) testing, heat testing, and DFMEA assessment and being flown to the manufacturing factory in Alabama to fix a faulty prototype.
PROJECT ENGINEER CO-OP
HASBRO INC, PAWTUCKET, RI
July – December 2016
At my time at Hasbro, I worked in the Pre School Gaming and Monopoly Team. This included collaborating with designers, engineers, and marketers to create a new product concept. Much of my job included performed costing analysis and communicating with the engineers in the domestic and foreign factories about the product development - to manufacturing process of multiple products. I was tasked with becoming very familiar with material use, tooling and possible outsourcing costs. Designers would meet with me and give me their ideal design for the game or toy and I would give them cost appropriate options of different possible alternative designs. I was also able to create initial sketches and illustrations using Adobe Illustrator.
LASER CUTTER TECHNICIAN
NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY, BOSTON, MA
September 2016 –December 2018
I worked in the Maker Space for the CAMD school of Design at Northeastern. My job entailed aiding the students who needed to use the Laser Cutter. I not only operated Laser Cutter to cut multiple material types such as wood, paper, acrylic and leather but I also helped ddit student designs in Sketch-up and Illustrator.
SKATING ACADEMY COACH
SKATING CLUB OF BOSTON, BOSTON, MA
January 2015- May 2017
During my time as a Figure Skating coach I was able to teach groups of both children and adults of all ages basic figure skating skills. As the students improved over weeks I would test their ability to determine if they could qualify for a more advanced level of figure skating moves and lessons
